South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind. — X-Ray Consultants (XRC) announced today that Joel Baber, D.O. has joined its team of subspecialty radiologists. Baber is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He brings subspecialty expertise in musculoskeletal radiology to the X-Ray Consultants team.

Dr. Baber graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 2004. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2009. He did his four-year residency in radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria in Peoria, Illinois. He then pursued subspecialty training by completing a one-year fellowship program in musculoskeletal radiology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Baber is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He has completed the American College of Radiology Positron Emission Tomography CT course and is an authorized user of nuclear medicine. Nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography help diagnose and track conditions including many forms of cancer, heart disease and brain disorders. When Dr. Baber isn’t at work you can find him running and working out, spending time with his family and making delicious food on his pellet smoking grill.
