Mishawaka, Ind. — X-Ray Consultants (XRC) announced today that Lyndsay A. Oancea, M.D. has joined its team of subspecialty radiologists. Oancea, an Indiana native and graduate of Purdue University and Indiana University School of Medicine brings subspecialty expertise in interventional radiology to the regional radiology group.
“Dr. Oancea’s background in interventional radiology and her dedication to the highest standards of patient care make her a great addition to our practice,” said X-Ray Consultants President Edward L. Yang, M.D. “The expertise she brings including treating peripheral vascular disease and interventional oncology is especially valuable.”
Dr. Oancea graduated from Purdue University in 2009 and then earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2013. She did a one-year residency in internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and then stayed on at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed her four-year residency in diagnostic radiology and a one-year fellowship in interventional radiology.
She has done research on patient outcomes who were treated with Y-90, a new state-of-the-art, minimally invasive approach to treating cancer that has metastasized on the liver. Dr. Oancea has also done research on best practices for treating renal cancer. She (is) a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
